Mijn verhaal
Hallo! Ik ben Varishna en ik woon in Den Haag met mijn man Amresh, dochter Avantika en zoon Atharva. In het dagelijks leven werk ik in venture capital in Rotterdam en run ik daarnaast mijn kinderboekenuitgeverij en boekshop SMRTi Books.
Sinds 2022 volg ik met veel plezier kathaklessen. Ik geniet van het dansen, de theorie en vooral van het samenspel en de gezelligheid. Extra bijzonder vind ik dat ik deze hobby kan delen met mijn dochter, nichtje en schoonzus. Samen dansen, oefenen en plezier maken maakt iedere les speciaal.
Vandaag sta ik voor het eerst op het podium – spannend, maar vooral ontzettend leuk!
My story
Hello! My name is Varishna, and I live in The Hague with my husband Amresh, our daughter Avantika, and our son Atharva. In my daily life, I work in venture capital in Rotterdam, and alongside that, I run my children's book publishing company and bookshop, SMRTi Books.
Since 2022, I have been enjoying Kathak classes immensely. I love the dancing, the theory, and above all, the sense of togetherness and friendship that comes with it. What makes it even more special is that I get to share this passion with my daughter, niece, and sister-in-law. Dancing, practicing, and having fun together makes every class truly memorable.
Today, I am stepping onto the stage for the very first time. It is exciting and a little nerve-racking, but most of all, it is incredibly fun!
