Bhavna
In Bhavna, dance items from a traditional Kathak repetoire are combined into a harmonius blend. It's based on the intricate vocabulary of the Kathak technique and deep moods of emotions which are weaved together bringing a harmony between nritta (technical dance) and abhinaya (expression of emotions).
Bhavna premièred in Bangalore, India and was part of the India Dans Festival 2016 hosted by Korzo Theater.

' Verschillende Kathak-frasen komen voorbij, waarbij de energie steeds verder gestuwd wordt.(..) De losse stukken* zijn al interessant om naar te kijken, maar samen zijn ze nog sterker.'
* De avond bestond uit een double-bill. Naast Bhavna presenteerden wij het contemporary kathak stuk Ayush.
